Most people do not really know what vapour permeability is – but it controls everything from the shelf life of food to the safety of petrol tanks.  It also controls dampness in buildings, the potency of pharmaceuticals, rust, the effectiveness of O rings, the quality of printing and much, much more across almost every area there is.  Billions of pounds a year are lost each year because of it.

Materials, such as oxygen and water vapour can simply flow through solid barriers when they are in their gaseous state and this, vapour permeability, is one of the most critical and safety critical properties of any material.  Versaperm is a technology leader in this field and its range of equipment measures this property to find solutions for problems.

Versaperm equipment is fast, accurate in the parts per million to billion ranges and is simple to use. It can control a wide range of parameters including temperature, pressure, partial pressure and humidity and it works for all non-regulated gases. 

The equipment can measure several samples at the same time and provides a simple to use automated control panel with a large touch-screen interface.  The equipment needs very little re-calibration and requires, at most, minimal training.
